Drug Uses
Green tea is a powerful supplement that has been widely used for immune-enhancing effects and fat loss. It helps your body burn fat faster, increases metabolic rate and boosts your immune system and mental alertness.
How Taken
As a dietary supplement, take 2 capsules two times daily 30 minutes before meals with a glass of water.
Drug Class and Mechanism
The major components in Green tea are the polyphenols/Catechines (including EGCG--epigallocatechin gallate which seems to provide the strongest antioxidant effects).
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose of this medicine and you are using it regularly, take it as soon as possible. If you do not remember until later, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
Storage
Store at the room temperature away from moisture and sunlight. Keep out of the reach of children.

Possible Side Effects
If stomach discomfort occurs, take with food. Discontinue use if symptoms persist for more than three days. If you are taking medication for asthma, do not use this product because Green tea may inhibit the activity of these types of medications. For children under 12 years, take as professionally prescribed.
More Information
A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition in Dec. 1999 showed that Green tea extract actually increased 24 hour energy expenditure and fat oxidation in humans. The study states that Green tea and the synergistic relationship of its contents may be a valuable tool in assisting in the management of obesity.
